How the Trust Score works
The RevWala Trust Score is a 0–100 composite computed from multiple signals — never just the average rating. The formula and weights are public so you can understand them.
- • Bayesian-smoothed rating (45%) — prevents tiny review counts from gaming the score.
- • Verified review share (15%) — reviews from invitation, receipt, or domain-email checks.
- • Response rate (12%) — does the company actually reply to its customers?
- • Recency (10%) — recent reviews matter more than ancient ones.
- • Reviewer credibility (10%) — average credibility of recent reviewers.
- • Resolution rate (8%) — does the company actually resolve complaints?
- • Fake-risk penalty — high-risk-flagged reviews reduce trust without being silently deleted.
Companies can never pay to alter their score. We do not remove honest negative reviews.
